One of our neighbors down the street had many trees fall during the ice storm this winter. A tree service came to clear the trees last week.
They used a crane to take trees out of the backyard, over the house, and over the powerlines on the street. A person on a man-lift attached a large strap hanging from the cable of the crane to the tree. Once attached another person cut the tree at the base. The crane would lift the tree over everything to the street. Many of the trees went straight into the chipper by attaching a cable to them and draging them in. It took them all day to clear the trees from the backyard of that house.
